Tesla Expands UK Supercharger Network

FOLLOWING on from the recent UK launch of the right-hand drive version of its Model S electric car, Tesla has turned its attention to expanding its Supercharger network. The Supercharger is a public charging facility allowing owners to rapid charge their vehicles – around 20 minutes for a half charge – enabling longer journey times. In partnership with the Hyatt Regency hotel chain, Tesla now has Superchargers in London and Birmingham at the hotel’s Portman Square and Bridge Street properties respectively.

Porsche Cayman and Boxster GTS on the way

Porsche Cayman GTS and Boxster GTS variants are expected to be unveiled at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show this year, before the upgraded versions of the German firm’s two-seater coupe and convertible models go on sale in April. According to reports, development work on both cars is now almost complete, with both vehicles gaining a power increase and revised styling over existing Cayman and Boxster models (pictured). Bertone to mark its 100th birthday with Turin exhibition

Bertone is celebrating its 100th birthday with an historic exhibition at Turin's National Car Museum from 29 June to 14 October called ‘One hundred years of car design'. With the support of the Italian Prime Minister, the Region of Piedmont, the Province and City of Turin and the UIGA (Italian Union of Automotive Journalists), this exhibition displays an overview of Bertone's most significant models, such as the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint (1954), the Lamborghini Miura (1966), the Lancia Stratos HF (1972) and the Fiat X1/9, which celebrates its 40th birthday this year.
